Calderdale Council has a team of professionals available to support childcare providers to deliver the government’s childcare strategy.
Our responsibilities fall under four main areas - to manage the local childcare market, to fund the nursery education entitlement for eligible two year olds and three and four year-olds, to develop the childcare workforce and to support all childcare providers to develop quality practices.
- Information to support childcare providers - Free advice and support on all areas of a setting’s work.
- Funding and financial help - Information on the funding / grants available to childcare providers and how to advertise your service for free with the Early Years and Childcare Sufficiency Team.
- Children's centres - Ideas on how to work with your local Children's Centre.
- Learning and development - Access the Childcare Learning and Development Programme, information on forthcoming network and cluster meetings, guidance on qualification information and audit tool.
